Yesterday was National Cake Day and the day of judging for our inaugural Great MADEC Bake Off! Seven of our Supported Independent Living and Out of Home Care houses competed for the coveted title of Bake Off Champion.
Entries were judged on criteria including person-centred active support, taste, creativity, and technique. All were of an impressive high standard and scoring was close! In the end our Bake Off winners are:
FIRST PLACE: Out of Home Care with the young people creating Christmas cupcakes and a KitKat cabin
SECOND PLACE: Megan’s delicious heart-shaped chocolate cake
THIRD PLACE: Ryan’s star-covered gluten-free chocolate layer cake
