Rostering / Service Support Officer (SSO)

Join MADEC, a trusted not-for-profit organisation supporting people with disability and young people across the Mackay and Whitsunday regions for more than 50 years.

As a Rostering / Service Support Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating rosters, supporting frontline staff, responding to client and worker enquiries, maintaining compliance and documentation, and helping ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality services.

This permanent part-time position operates on a rotating roster between 6am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday, with day, evening and weekend shifts available. Penalty rates apply.

Support Worker (NDIS)

Whether you’re new to the industry or an experienced support worker, we offer rewarding opportunities to help individuals achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

Available as Permanent or Casual positions, this role involves providing person-centred support, promoting choice and independence, implementing positive behaviour support strategies, and assisting participants with daily living and community engagement.

What You’ll Need:

  • Certificate III in Community Services (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays
  • A passion for empowering people and making a positive impact

Residential Youth Worker

Join MADEC and help create safe, supportive and nurturing environments for young people in residential care across the Mackay and Whitsunday regions. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people to build confidence, develop life skills and work towards a brighter future.

Working as part of our Out-of-Home Care team, you will provide person-centred support, promote choice and independence, implement positive behaviour support strategies, and contribute to a safe and stable home environment for young people.
